Hi, Joh,

I enable option 'vaxesc' in ViEmu, but it doesn't work. I still have to press ESC twice to return to  normal mode.

Hi Marvin,

Possibly something has changed in either Visual Assist or VS2008. I'll look at it as soon as possible and get back to you, I'll be out of the office for over a week at TED@Aspen conference so I probably won't be able to until I'm back from there. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

Hi Jon,
I have tried it in another computer with the same environment. But can not reproduce it! Looks very strange. The only difference between these two computers is that the later computer have installed VS2005 before and now upgrade to VS2008 (uninstall VS2005, then install VS2008).  That's all difference I can get.

Hi Marvin,

Sometimes, for reasons I have not been able to understand, uninstalling and reinstalling both ViEmu and Visual Assist X often helps in this regard. There is no documented reason why event processing should be affected by installation order, but it seems to happen. It would probably be wise to fire up Visual Studio in between, so that it will clean up after itself.

I'm travelling tomorrow and I'll be out of the office until next week, but I'll try to have a look at it when I come back.

Hi Jon,

I have tried all uninstall/install sequence of ViEmu and VAX, the option still doesn't work. Currently I install ViEmu and VAX in four machines, only two ones are OK. That's all I can get, I have no idea about this. I hope you can fix this tough case.

I am trying to address this issue for the upcoming 2.2 release. I haven't been able to repro it either on my desktop or on my laptop installations. I would be able to send you an instrumented build, to generate a log file for further diagnose. Please let me know when you're able to do this.
