Re: gp and gP
I miss the gp and gP vim functionality, that is, paste before and paste after the cursor (respectively), but do not move the cursor. Any chance of getting these?

Didn't even know about them. Hopefully they'll be simple to implement, I'll try to squeeze these in one of the next few releases, I'm planning an official 2.2 in the next few days.

I've looked at vim's docs and the implementation, and what they do is something else - they leave the cursor after the pasted text in any case. Is that what you're after?
I am after vim's behaviour. Thanks for the correction, I was sourcing the definition from an unofficial source.
I remap p to gP, i.e. paste before and leave cursor after the text, because that behaviour has always made more sense to me. I tried to get used to plain p with viemu, but was unable to even after a few months.

Tom
Ah, good to understand it. I'll get back to you as soon as I have more info about this.
