Any chance this is on the radar?  Or perhaps the options built in to ViEmu?  (That is, the option to switch to normal mode when VS2010 loses focus, and the option to switch to normal mode when changing edit buffers.)

We'll try to add it in the next version... not with a Service, but as ViEmu-exposed commands. It shouldn't be difficult to offer this API, and then you'd be able to create a VS macro that uses it.

Is this on the horizon yet?  It seems VS (or is it ViEmu?) keeps putting the editor in insert mode when I change buffers, and it's wearing me down...
